One of the greatest truths of Christianity is that God loves us.
God's love is not based on our perfection. Scripture tells us that Christ demonstrated His love for us while we were still sinners.
But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. — Romans 5:8
The cross is the greatest demonstration of God's love. Jesus willingly gave Himself so that we could be reconciled to God.
Understanding God's love should change how we see ourselves and how we treat others.
Because Christ has loved us, we are called to love others.
When you feel unworthy or forgotten, remember the cross. It is God's declaration that His love is greater than your failures.
